This past week our high school students had some fun raising money for a good cause. When the students arrived at school on Monday each teacher had a jar in their classroom that students could put pennies into. The students brought in pennies throughout the week adding to their favorite teacher’s jar. At the end of the week, the teacher with the most pennies in their jar was the lucky recipient of a delicious chocolate pie in the face. To add to the fun of this event, the winning teacher was the advisor for this event and she had to make the pie!
Our students gave pennies a plenty, raising over $410.00 to donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. These young men and women see what our donor gifts provide for them on a daily basis so they know that donations can make a difference in the lives of many.
