This week our 2nd graders were learning about points, line segments, line segment names and codes in their math class. The students listened intently as their teacher explained each new concept and showed them examples on the whiteboard. Once the teacher’s lesson was finished, the children were told to ‘Find a spot where you can do your BEST work’ and complete the line segment section of their math workbook. Some students continued to sit in their floor rocking chairs while others found their favorite ball, chair or spot on the floor.
